Swift Navigation Named Finalist for 2025 Automotive News PACE Awards

Swift Navigation’s Skylark Precise Positioning Service has been selected as a finalist for the 2025 Automotive News PACE Awards.

L3 autonomous vehicles are here – but they are limited to small scale, location-dependent deployments. Three key obstacles stand in the way of mass market adoption: reliability, cost, and safety.

Skylark addresses all three of these challenges head-on. Skylark enables reliable centimeter-accurate positioning that complements perception-based sensors (such as cameras, radar and LiDAR) to ensure the safe operation of autonomous systems in any environment – including in heavy rain, snow, and areas without lane markings – while unlocking significant reductions in compute costs. Safe and precise positioning also underpins V2X technology use cases as a key component of the shared data.

Earlier this year, Skylark became the first real-time cloud-based service of any kind to be certified to the ISO 26262:2018 standard for the functional safety of road vehicles. With this certification, Skylark can now be commercially deployed in L3 autonomous driving systems around the world.

Skylark previously received the Automotive News PACEpilot Innovations to Watch Award in 2021.
