Positioning Engine Software
Starling, a positioning engine for autonomous vehicle applications, works with a variety of automotive and non automotive-grade GNSS chipsets, microprocessors and inertial sensors.
Platform independent, Starling is an advanced positioning engine that enhances the measurements from commercially available GNSS receivers to provide an accurate position, velocity and altitude solution in GNSS denied environments. A receiver-agnostic platform, Starling easily interoperates with both Swift’s own modules as well as third-party chips and microprocessors. Starling pulls corrections from Swift’s Skylark Cloud Corrections Service to deliver absolute positioning, true precision and integrity capabilities for safety-critical automotive and autonomous vehicle applications.
Precision GNSS Module
The Precision GNSS Module, integrates Swift’s Starling positioning engine into a simple-to-use, industry-standard mPCIe format, providing a quick path to production with easy evaluation and integration.
PGM utilizes STMicroelectronics’ TeseoV chipset in a Quectel LG69T-AP module, and is available in an easy-to-use Evaluation Kit that ships with all the necessary components to quickly evaluate performance on a test platform. PGM is ideal for customers building industrial, last mile and Internet of Things (IoT) platforms requiring the ability to quickly install on a target platform and test performance in the field.
OEM Receiver Board
Piksi Multi is a multi-constellation, multi-band, affordable and accurate RTK GNSS board. The utilization of RTK technology provides location solutions that are 100 times more accurate than stand alone GNSS solutions.
Piksi Multi is Swift’s next generation high-precision OEM receiver. It delivers robust RTK positioning performance in a variety of environments, has fast convergence and reacquisition times measured in seconds and access to multiple satellite constellations for robust availability and reliability. The Piksi Multi Evaluation Kit is ideal for evaluating robust, high-precision RTK solutions for production applications.
Duro Inertial is an enclosed dual-frequency GNSS+INS receiver that allows for continuous centimeter-accurate positioning GNSS denied environments by integrating an inertial measurement unit into the solution.
Duro Inertial is also available to deliver more robust precision navigation during GNSS outages and is designed and built to survive long-term, outdoor deployments, Duro Inertial combines centimeter-accurate positioning with military ruggedness at a breakthrough price. Duro Inertial is available in a Starter Kit that includes everything needed for installation.
Duro is built to be tough. Created in partnership with Carnegie Robotics, Duro is a ruggedized, enclosed version of the Piksi Multi RTK receiver ideal for long-term, outdoor deployments.
In addition to delivering centimeter-level GNSS accuracy, Duro is IP67-rated to withstand vibration, dust, water immersion and high/low temperatures. Duro leverages design principles used in military hardware, creating an easy-to-deploy sensor that is protected against the elements within a ruggedized cast aluminum enclosure.
